Guido Foltran


Guido Foltran was born in Milan Italy, on January 3, 1970.

His higher studies focused on hotel management in Milan, then he dedicates himself from very young with passion to the gastronomy first as chef on board of S.Y. Candida a J Class built in 1929 for the America’s Cup, then as director of food and beverage departments for international hotel chains in Punta Cana Dominican Republic and Costa Rica where he first arrived in 1993, here he married a Tica and since then he choose this beautiful country as his residence providing his services to the tourism industry in the last 24 years.

As director of f&b, as well as hotel and operations director, with a philosophy of life and work that could be resumed in the concepts of “Managing by Walking Around And Managing by the Example”

His great disposition towards customer service makes him an example for his team and a reference for his clients.

He loves transmitting the knowledge acquired throughout his work experience and never ends up learning about his environment and the people and situations h he interacts with.

Guido loves his profession and his aim is to offer the maximum in terms of commitment and dedication, looking to the great ideals of social and economic development convinced that Costa Rica is and will be in the near future a tourist destination of great level as it is.

María Laura Chacón

Operations Supervisor

María Laura was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. She holds a degree in Hospitality Management, she has been working in the tourism industry and costumer service  for 6 years. Has a great passion for customer service and sustainability, both which she combines at Bahia del Sol where she is the Operations Supervisor. She loves to travel and get to know different cultures  Speaks English and Spanish fluently and enjoys getting to know our guests and provide them with a memorable stay.

Brian López Miranda

Executive Chef

Brian López Miranda has a degree in hotel management from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. Additionally, he is a trainer at the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA).
He also holds a degree in French haute cuisine given by Gordon Bleu in Costa Rica and is a top chef of the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA). (National Apprenticeship Institute)
In additional, he has participated in cooking competitions and was a finalist in the Culinary Master contest in 2012.
He loves sports and enjoys making and constantly innovating his culinary creations.

Mauricio Aymerich

Marketing Manager

Our marketing director has more than 25 years of experience in the tourism industry. Graduated in Businness Administration from the University of Costa Rica he specialized on his own in tourism by taking different seminars with CINDE, PRAGMA Corporation in NY, Cornell University, INCAE and others. Has a certificate from the Service Quality Institute in Minnesota that entitles him to certificate staff on subjects like: Costumer Service, empowerment, leadership. He has been marketing director of The Small Distinctive Hotels, Villa Caletas, among other hotels. He firmly believes that the best marketing is an excellent customer service. On his free time he enjoys practicing the 3 sports of the triathlon.
